HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT

MEDICAL SPA IN GEORGETOWN & VAUGHN

What is a HydraFacial?

A HydraFacial is a patented skin treatment available in medical spas and dermatology offices. It is also known as “hydradermabrasion” because it combines microdermabrasion-like exfoliation with hydrating serums. The treatment involves a three-step process: deep cleaning, exfoliation, and hydration of the skin. The procedure uses a mechanized wand to deeply clean and exfoliate the skin while delivering customized serums based on the individual’s skin type.

Who is a good candidate for a HydraFacial treatment?

HydraFacials are known to help improve overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. They can be beneficial for various skin conditions such as acne, dryness, wrinkles, and rosacea.

Here are the three steps for HydraFacials in detail:

Cleanse and Peel: In this step, the skin is exfoliated, and dead skin cells are removed from the outer layer of the skin. It helps in unclogging pores, leaving the skin looking brighter, and increasing collagen production. The exfoliation is done using the HydraFacial tip, which generates a fluid vortex over the skin to dislodge impurities and dead skin cells.

Extract and Hydrate: This step involves the removal of debris from the pores through painless suction and the delivery of topical moisturizers into the skin. The HydraFacial tip extracts impurities from the pores while simultaneously delivering hydrating serums.

Infuse and Protect: The final step of the HydraFacial treatment involves the application of “boosters” or serums tailored to specific skin concerns. These serums target issues such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, or enlarged pores. The treatment is entirely customizable based on the patient’s skin goals.

The HydraFacial treatment is generally considered safe and noninvasive. It does not typically cause pain or redness. However, individuals with an active rash, such as one related to a rosacea flare, should avoid the procedure. It is always advisable to consult with a our expert aestheticians at VIP Medspa to determine the suitability of HydraFacial for individual skin concerns.
